The Harvia Water Filter System XL is a high-capacity water filtration solution designed to protect commercial steam generators, combi heaters, and other water-fed steam systems from the damaging effects of hard water. By removing dissolved minerals before they enter the steam generator, the system helps reduce scale formation, prolong equipment life, and maintain reliable steam performance.
Harvia strongly recommends filtration for all compatible steam generators and combi heating systems. Untreated hard water contains calcium, magnesium, and other minerals that gradually build up inside water tanks, heating elements, and internal components. This mineral accumulation causes calcification, reducing heating efficiency while shortening the lifespan of valuable sauna and steam equipment.
The Harvia Water Filter System removes nearly all calcium, magnesium, and other dissolved minerals from the incoming water supply. In addition to preventing limescale and mineral deposits, the filtration process also removes unpleasant odours caused by hard water, providing cleaner, softer, and purified water for every steam session.
Designed specifically for commercial installations, the XL system provides greater filtration capacity than the residential model, making it ideal for professional wellness facilities, hotels, gyms, spas, and high-use steam environments.
