Warranty
Effective Date: January 17, 2026
Last Updated: August 30, 2026
1. Introduction
Between Living offers products from multiple manufacturers, each of which may have its own warranty terms, coverage periods, exclusions, claim procedures, and available remedies.
This Warranty Policy explains how warranty matters are generally handled through Between Living.
Where a product is covered by a manufacturer warranty, the applicable manufacturer warranty terms govern the scope, duration, conditions, exclusions, and remedies available for that product.
Warranty coverage is not identical across all products sold by Between Living.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy expands, replaces, or modifies a manufacturer’s warranty unless Between Living expressly states otherwise.
Nothing in this Policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
2. Manufacturer Warranties
Many products sold through Between Living include warranty coverage provided by the applicable manufacturer.
Warranty terms may vary according to factors including:
- Manufacturer
- Product
- Component
- Product category
- Residential or commercial use
- Intended use
- Installation method
- Registration requirements
- Geographic location
- Date of purchase
- Applicable manufacturer terms
Warranty coverage may be described in:
- Manufacturer warranty documentation
- Product manuals
- Product documentation
- Manufacturer websites
- Product-specific information supplied through Between Living
- Packaging or registration materials
Customers should review the warranty information applicable to the specific product purchased.
If you are unsure which warranty applies to your product, please contact Between Living and we will help identify the available manufacturer information.

3. Between Living’s Role in Warranty Support
Where appropriate, Between Living may assist customers with the warranty process by:
- Helping identify applicable warranty information
- Confirming proof of purchase
- Communicating with the manufacturer
- Forwarding documentation
- Helping coordinate troubleshooting
- Assisting with replacement-part requests
- Helping facilitate warranty-review information
- Providing available claim instructions
Between Living does not independently determine or guarantee the outcome of a manufacturer warranty claim unless expressly stated otherwise.
The applicable manufacturer may determine:
- Whether the claim is covered
- What documentation is required
- Whether troubleshooting is required
- Whether an inspection is required
- Whether a part should be repaired or replaced
- Whether a full product replacement is appropriate
- Whether freight, shipping, labor, or other costs are covered
- Whether another remedy applies
4. Product Quality and Problems Upon Delivery
A product that arrives damaged, incomplete, incorrect, defective, or non-functional may involve different processes depending on the circumstances.
For example, the matter may involve:
- A freight or shipping claim
- A missing-component claim
- A fulfillment correction
- A manufacturer defect
- A warranty claim
- Troubleshooting
- Replacement parts
- Another appropriate remedy
A delivery problem should not automatically be treated as the same thing as a long-term manufacturer warranty claim.
Upon Delivery
Customers should inspect shipments as reasonably possible when they arrive.
For parcel or freight deliveries, please:
- Inspect the packaging and product where reasonably possible
- Photograph visible damage
- Retain packaging, labels, and shipping documentation
- Note visible damage on the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading where applicable
- Note suspected damage where appropriate if inspection cannot reasonably be completed
- Retain damaged components or packaging until instructed otherwise
For freight shipments, documentation at delivery can be important because manufacturer and carrier claim requirements may apply.
Please report damage, missing items, or delivery concerns promptly.
Some manufacturers and carriers impose specific reporting deadlines, and delayed reporting may affect the ability to pursue a claim.
5. Defective or Non-Functional Products
If a product appears defective or does not operate as expected, contact Between Living before independently returning, repairing, modifying, or disposing of the product.
Depending on the applicable manufacturer and product, the resolution process may include:
- Troubleshooting
- Technical support
- Photographs or video
- Serial-number verification
- Replacement parts
- Repair
- Manufacturer inspection
- Component replacement
- Product replacement
- Refund
- Another remedy available under the applicable warranty or legal requirements
A full refund is not automatically the first or only remedy for every defective product.
The appropriate resolution depends on the circumstances, applicable warranty terms, manufacturer requirements, and applicable law.
6. Filing a Warranty Claim
To request warranty assistance, contact:
Email: support@betweenliving.com
Please include as much of the following information as reasonably available:
- Your name
- Order number
- Product name
- Manufacturer
- Date of purchase
- Description of the issue
- When the issue began
- Photographs
- Video, where useful
- Serial number or model number, where applicable
- Relevant error codes
- Installation information, where relevant
- Any troubleshooting already completed
Additional information may be required depending on the manufacturer and nature of the claim.
Please do not dispose of a product, component, packaging, or damaged part that may be relevant to a warranty or freight claim unless instructed to do so.
7. Warranty Review Process
After receiving the available information, Between Living may:
- Review the order and product information.
- Identify the applicable manufacturer or warranty process.
- Request additional documentation where necessary.
- Forward information to the manufacturer or appropriate service provider.
- Assist with troubleshooting or next steps.
- Communicate available resolution information once determined.
Manufacturer response times and warranty-review timelines vary.
Between Living cannot guarantee that every manufacturer will reach a decision within the same timeframe.
8. Typical Warranty Coverage
Manufacturer warranties commonly relate to defects in materials or workmanship occurring under normal and intended use.
However, the exact coverage for any product is determined by the applicable manufacturer’s written warranty.
A product warranty may cover:
- Specific components
- Structural elements
- Electrical components
- Heating components
- Controls
- Motors or pumps
- Other designated parts
Coverage periods may differ between components within the same product.
Customers should not assume that every part of a product carries the same warranty duration.
9. Warranty Limitations and Exclusions
Manufacturer warranties may exclude or limit coverage for circumstances such as:
- Improper installation
- Installation contrary to manufacturer instructions
- Improper electrical supply
- Improper plumbing
- Inadequate site preparation
- Misuse or abuse
- Neglect
- Unauthorized modification
- Unauthorized repair
- Commercial use where only residential use is covered
- Failure to perform required maintenance
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic changes
- Weathering
- Natural variation in materials
- Corrosion or water chemistry issues
- Freeze damage
- Environmental conditions outside specified operating limits
- Damage caused by transportation after customer receipt
- Improper storage
- Acts of nature
- Consumable components
- Accessories excluded under the applicable warranty
This list describes common examples only.
The applicable manufacturer’s written warranty determines the actual exclusions for a specific product.
10. Installation and Warranty Eligibility
Certain products sold by Between Living require proper installation to qualify for warranty coverage.
Depending on the manufacturer, installation may require:
- A licensed electrician
- A licensed plumber
- A qualified installer
- Manufacturer-authorized installation
- Compliance with electrical codes
- Compliance with plumbing codes
- Specified clearances
- Proper ventilation
- Correct water chemistry
- Proper foundation or structural support
- Registration after installation
- Retention of installation documentation
Customers are responsible for reviewing and following applicable installation requirements.
Where professional installation is required, failure to use an appropriately qualified professional may affect warranty eligibility.
Customers should retain relevant invoices, installation records, photographs, permits, and other documentation where they may be needed for warranty verification.
11. Shipping Costs Related to Warranty Claims
Shipping and freight responsibilities vary by manufacturer and warranty.
Depending on the applicable warranty:
- The customer may be responsible for shipping a part or product for evaluation
- The manufacturer may provide a prepaid label
- Replacement-part shipping may be covered
- Freight charges may be partially covered
- Freight charges may be excluded
- Return shipping may be required
- No physical return may be necessary
Customers should not independently arrange expensive freight transportation for a warranty claim without first contacting Between Living or the manufacturer, because unauthorized freight costs may not be reimbursable.
12. Labor, Installation, Removal and Reinstallation Costs
Labor coverage varies significantly between manufacturers.
Unless the applicable manufacturer warranty expressly provides otherwise, customers should not assume that warranty coverage includes:
- Diagnostic labor
- Installation labor
- Removal
- Reinstallation
- Electrical work
- Plumbing work
- Construction work
- Travel charges
- Service-call charges
- Crane services
- Equipment rental
- Site modifications
- Other third-party labor or access costs
Where the manufacturer covers labor or service costs, the applicable manufacturer’s terms control.
13. Replacement Parts and Products
A manufacturer may elect to remedy an approved claim through replacement of:
- A component
- A part
- A subassembly
- An accessory
- The complete product
A replacement component or product may not always be identical in appearance to the original if the original component has been discontinued, redesigned, or superseded.
Manufacturer warranty terms may also determine whether a replacement item receives:
- The remainder of the original warranty
- A separate replacement warranty
- Another coverage period
Between Living does not independently determine replacement-warranty duration unless expressly stated.
14. Warranty Registration
Some manufacturers may require or recommend registration of a product after purchase.
Where registration is required for full warranty benefits, the customer is responsible for completing the applicable manufacturer registration within the required timeframe.
Between Living may provide purchase information where needed, but does not guarantee registration on a customer’s behalf unless expressly agreed.
Customers should retain:
- Order confirmation
- Receipt
- Serial number
- Product documentation
- Warranty documentation
for future reference.
15. Warranty Transferability
Warranty transferability varies by manufacturer.
Some warranties:
- Apply only to the original purchaser
- Apply only at the original installation address
- May transfer under specified conditions
- May require manufacturer approval
- May not transfer at all
Customers should review the applicable manufacturer’s warranty before assuming that warranty coverage transfers with resale, relocation, or ownership change.
16. Residential and Commercial Use
Some products may carry different warranties depending on whether they are used in:
- Residential environments
- Commercial facilities
- Rental properties
- Hospitality settings
- Public facilities
- Other high-use environments
A residential warranty may not automatically apply to commercial use.
Customers should confirm intended use and warranty eligibility before purchase where the product will be installed outside an ordinary residential setting.
17. Warranty Coverage Versus Returns
A warranty claim is different from a return.
A product that develops a covered problem after the applicable return period may still qualify for manufacturer warranty support.
Likewise, a product being under warranty does not automatically mean it is eligible for a return or refund.
Returns are governed separately by our Return & Refund Policy and applicable product or manufacturer return terms.
Warranty matters are governed by the applicable manufacturer warranty and this Warranty Policy.
18. Warranty Coverage Versus Shipping Damage
Damage occurring during transportation may be handled through a carrier or freight claim rather than a manufacturer warranty.
Customers should report shipping damage promptly and preserve documentation.
Shipping and freight claims are addressed more specifically in our Shipping Policy.
19. Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications
Customers should contact Between Living or the applicable manufacturer before performing repairs or modifications where warranty coverage may be involved.
Unauthorized repair, modification, disassembly, electrical work, plumbing changes, replacement components, or alteration may affect warranty eligibility.
Emergency action necessary to prevent immediate injury or additional property damage should be handled appropriately, but documentation should be retained where possible.
20. No Universal Warranty Period
Between Living does not apply one universal warranty duration across all products.
Warranty periods may vary substantially by:
- Manufacturer
- Product
- Component
- Use
- Installation
- Warranty type
Where a product page, manufacturer document, or warranty document provides a specific period, that applicable period governs.
If warranty duration is unclear before purchase, please contact us and we will help identify the available manufacturer information.
21. No Independent Expansion of Manufacturer Warranties
Unless Between Living expressly provides a separate written warranty, Between Living does not independently enlarge, extend, modify, or replace a manufacturer’s written warranty.
Descriptions of warranty coverage appearing on the Website are intended to summarize or communicate available manufacturer information and should be read together with the applicable manufacturer’s actual warranty terms.
If a discrepancy exists, the applicable manufacturer warranty controls unless prohibited by applicable law or Between Living has expressly undertaken a separate obligation.
22. Legal Rights and Limitations
Manufacturer warranties and this Warranty Policy are subject to applicable law.
Some jurisdictions may provide consumers with rights that exist independently of manufacturer warranty terms.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude, limit, or waive any right, remedy, warranty, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Between Living is not responsible for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential losses arising solely from matters outside obligations expressly undertaken by Between Living.
Any broader limitations of liability applicable to Website use or transactions are addressed in our Terms of Service.
23. Relationship to Other Policies
This Warranty Policy should be read together with our:
- Terms of Service
- Shipping Policy
- Return & Refund Policy
- Cancellation Policy
- Billing Terms & Conditions
- Disclaimer Policy
- Applicable manufacturer warranty
- Product-specific terms
Where a manufacturer warranty or product-specific warranty provision addresses a warranty matter more specifically than this general Policy, the more specific warranty provision governs that subject.
24. Changes to This Warranty Policy
Between Living may update this Warranty Policy periodically to reflect changes in:
- Manufacturers
- Products
- Warranty procedures
- Business practices
- Website information
- Applicable legal requirements
Changes become effective when published unless otherwise required by applicable law.
The Last Updated date at the top of this Policy identifies the most recent revision.
A later revision does not retroactively reduce warranty rights already applicable to a completed purchase where such a change would not be legally permitted.
