Need Help Choosing? Shop by Heat Type

Golden Designs includes many similar-looking saunas across infrared, traditional, hybrid, indoor, outdoor, and recovery-focused categories. Use these guided paths to compare the right sauna experience for your home.

      Understand the heat

      Choose by Experience, Not Confusion

These quick notes help explain the main differences between infrared, traditional, hybrid, EMF-conscious, and light-enhanced sauna options.

      Far Infrared

Far infrared is commonly used for deep, steady warmth. It is often chosen for daily relaxation, perspiration, and recovery routines.

      Near Infrared

Near infrared is usually discussed as a more surface-level wavelength. In full spectrum models, it works alongside mid and far infrared.

Low, Ultra Low & Near Zero EMF

These terms help shoppers compare electromagnetic field exposure across infrared models, with Near Zero EMF generally positioned as the most EMF-conscious option.

      Traditional Stove Heat

Traditional saunas are categorized by stove-based heat. Some are stove-only, while others add chromotherapy and red light therapy.

      Hybrid Saunas

Hybrid models offer more than one heat path, often through full spectrum infrared or a traditional stove. Most include chromotherapy and red light therapy, but a few do not.

      Chromotherapy & Red Light

Because most Golden Designs saunas include audio, chromotherapy, and red light therapy, these are treated as premium feature highlights rather than separate shopping categories.

Helpful sorting note: choose first by heat type and placement, such as indoor, outdoor, infrared, traditional, hybrid, or cold plunge. Then compare comfort features like chromotherapy, red light therapy, audio, salt bars, seating capacity, and wood type.
Sauna Method: Sweat Well, Not Longer A practical rhythm for heat, sweating, towel care, and recovery.
      1

      Enter the heat

Give your body time to adjust and begin calmly.

      2

      Wait until you sweat

Let a natural sweat response begin before counting your main sauna time.

      3

      Stay 5 to 10 minutes

After sweating starts, many wellness users prefer a shorter, focused session.

      4

      Wipe sweat promptly

Use a clean towel during the session and avoid letting sweat sit on the skin.

      5

      Cool and hydrate

Shower or cool down, drink water, and give your body time to recover.

Towel care matters. Use a fresh clean towel, do not reuse a sweat-soaked towel for the next session, and wash it promptly after use. Sauna is not a competition. The goal is to sweat well, recover well, and listen to your body.
The Wonder of Himalayan Salt A sensory layer for customers who want warmth, atmosphere, and a more complete sauna room.
Himalayan salt bars add a mineral-inspired, spa-like atmosphere to the sauna experience. Paired with full spectrum infrared, chromotherapy, and red light therapy, they help the space feel warmer, more immersive, and more intentional.
The Power of Contrast Therapy Heat, cold, pause, and recovery for sauna and cold plunge shoppers.
      1

      Heat

Use the sauna to warm the body and begin a steady sweat response.

      2

      Cold

Move into a cold plunge or cold shower with controlled breathing.

      3

      Pause

Step out slowly and allow your body to stabilize before repeating.

      4

      Repeat gently

Many users begin with one to three rounds depending on tolerance.

      5

      Recover

Hydrate, warm gradually, and stop if you feel dizzy or uncomfortable.

Contrast therapy does not require an extreme setup. The principle is simple: alternate warmth and cold with respect for the body. Start conservatively, avoid alcohol before and after, and consult a physician first if you have cardiovascular concerns, blood pressure issues, pregnancy, or any medical condition affected by temperature stress.
How to Cold Plunge A practical guide for Dynamic Cold Therapy customers.
      1

      Prepare

Hydrate, warm up lightly, and calm the breath before entering.

      2

      Enter slowly

Step in gradually and let your body adjust to the temperature.

      3

      Breathe steadily

Use slow, deep breathing to manage the initial cold response.

      4

      Start short

Beginners often start with 30 seconds to 3 minutes, then build carefully.

      5

      Exit with care

Step out slowly, dry off, warm gradually, and monitor how you feel.

The Dynamic Cold Therapy guide describes cold plunge temperatures commonly around 50 to 60°F, with exposure ranging from 30 seconds to a few minutes depending on tolerance. Exit immediately if you feel dizziness, discomfort, difficulty breathing, numbness, or uncontrolled shivering.

      Please Read Before Ordering

These details help prevent delivery delays, electrical mistakes, return issues, and unavoidable miscommunication.

      1. We Must Confirm Your Delivery Details After Purchase

After your order is placed, Between Living will contact you before submitting the order to Golden Designs.

We will confirm your delivery address, phone number, access conditions, and any possible issues such as narrow roads, dirt roads, dead ends, steep driveways, gated access, or special delivery circumstances.

This step is required to help avoid refused delivery, redelivery fees, storage fees, or delivery delays.

      2. How Delivery Works
Freight Delivery (Handled by Golden Designs)

Your sauna is shipped via freight carrier arranged by Golden Designs. The carrier will contact you directly to schedule delivery.

      Curbside Drop-Off

Delivery is curbside only. The freight carrier will place the sauna at your driveway or nearest accessible location. They do not bring the unit inside, move it to its final location, or assist with setup.

Optional In-Home Placement (Coordinated by Between Living)

If requested by the customer and available in your area, Between Living may help coordinate a separate white-glove service to move your sauna from the curbside into your home and assist with placement.

This service is not included in standard delivery. It is requested by the customer, quoted separately, and paid separately.

Optional in-home placement is typically helpful for larger sauna models or situations where assistance is needed moving the unit from delivery location into the home. For smaller models, many customers are able to handle placement themselves or with simple helping hands. White-glove service may include placement support only. Assembly is not guaranteed and depends on the third-party provider available in your area. Electrical work is never included unless the provider is specifically licensed for that service.

      Third-Party Service & Communication

White-glove delivery is performed by an independent local provider. Once arranged, coordination and scheduling will take place directly between you and the service provider.

Important: White-glove delivery does not replace Golden Designs freight delivery. Golden Designs delivers curbside only. Optional in-home placement is a separate third-party service that may be coordinated by Between Living if requested by the customer, quoted separately, paid separately, and available in your area.
      3. Electrical Requirements Matter
      • * 1-person, 1–2 person, and 2-person infrared saunas typically run on a standard 120V / 15AMP outlet (a dedicated line is recommended).
      • * 3-person and 4-person infrared saunas require a dedicated 20AMP outlet on a dedicated 20AMP circuit breaker.
      • * 6-person saunas require two dedicated 20AMP outlets on two separate 20AMP circuit breakers.
      • * Traditional and hybrid saunas require the stove to be directly wired to your electrical panel by a certified electrician.

White-glove or in-home placement services may assist with delivery, placement, or assembly, but they do not include electrical work unless the provider is specifically licensed for that service.

If you are unsure about your setup, we recommend confirming with a licensed electrician before purchase or installation.

      4. Choose Capacity Carefully

Sauna capacity is a helpful guide, but comfort can vary depending on body size, seating preference, and how much space you prefer while using the sauna.

If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger model when space and electrical requirements allow.

      5. Returns, Cancellations & Fees
      • Orders must be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase.
      • Returns must be processed within 30 days of delivery.
      • Returned items must be in original packaging.
      • Opened or assembled items may be subject to return shipping and a 20% restocking fee.
      • Used items are not eligible for return.
      • Redelivery, storage, change-of-address, and freight-related fees may apply when applicable.
