Care & Maintenance
Regular sauna maintenance is an important aspect of owning a sauna and is essential for preserving the longevity of the sauna while supporting a pleasant and relaxing experience.
Use towels on benches
Use towels on benches to protect the wood and absorb sweat during sauna use. This simple step helps reduce moisture sitting directly on the cedar.
Allow cedar to adjust
Depending on local humidity and weather conditions, cedar may shrink or expand as it absorbs moisture. For barrel saunas, the goal is for the cedar to expand into the stainless-steel bands.
Tighten bands when needed
It is recommended to tighten the bands after the initial installation, typically within the first month, and then check them periodically to ensure they remain secure. Use a ¾" wrench to tighten as needed.
Keep vents clear
Ensure both the air inlet and outlet vents are unobstructed to maintain proper airflow. Clear airflow helps the sauna heat and ventilate as intended.
Protect the exterior
The exterior of the sauna can be stained using a product recommended by your local retailer. Leisurecraft recommends and stocks Livos stain products for this purpose.
Leave the interior natural
The interior is typically left natural and unfinished. If you wish to enhance and protect the wood, sauna oil by Livos may be applied to bring out the cedar’s natural color and grain.
Ventilate after each use
Open the door after each session to allow fresh air circulation and reduce moisture buildup. This helps the sauna dry more evenly between sessions.
Wipe and rinse surfaces
Use a clean, dry towel to remove sweat and moisture from benches, backrests, and all wooden surfaces. Rinse with cold water to help close the pores of the wood and promote faster drying.

Heater availability and sizing vary by sauna model. Please use the product page selections and “Complete your setup” options as the source of truth for the recommended heater size.
Electric heaters are commonly listed by kilowatt output. Wood-burning heater ranges are generally shown by suitable sauna room volume, often in cubic meters, rather than watts.

5 Year Residential Limited Warranty Policy
All products designed and manufactured by Dundalk LeisureCraft Inc. (“LeisureCraft”) are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of five years, beginning on the date the product is received by the original end-user consumer.
This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient or improper maintenance, natural weather conditions, or failure to follow the manufacturer’s installation, usage, or care instructions.
In the event of a valid warranty claim, LeisureCraft will provide replacement parts at no charge. However, the replacement of parts will not extend the original warranty period.
This warranty is limited solely to the replacement of parts and does not cover any associated service, labor, or installation costs.

If the manufacturer offers a warranty on the product, LeisureCraft will honor that warranty under the same terms, coverage, and duration. This warranty is limited to the replacement of parts only and excludes service, labor, or installation costs.

All electrical connections must be made by a licensed electrician. Failure to comply with this requirement will void the warranty.
Clear expectations before checkout
Please review before ordering. Larger Leisurecraft deliveries may require customer-arranged unloading, equipment, or local assistance.
Residential delivery, crates & unloading DO NOT MISS
Most residential deliveries are curbside or end-of-driveway by appointment.
The trucking company typically does not unload the crate, bring it inside, move it to a backyard, or place it in the final location.
Some larger shipments require the customer to arrange assistance or equipment for unloading, such as a forklift for heavy crates.
The freight carrier may not be able to back into certain driveways, private roads, narrow roads, or restricted-access locations.
If assembly, construction, plumbing, or electrical work is needed, the customer is responsible for arranging the appropriate local contractor or licensed professional.
Lead times and build estimates vary by model. We confirm timing at order and share updates once the manufacturer schedules production and shipping.

Will my order be delivered to my door?
Most residential deliveries are curbside or end-of-driveway by appointment. The carrier typically will not bring the crate into your home or backyard.
Do you install the sauna?
Installation is not included. Most customers assemble using the included instructions or hire a local contractor or handyperson.
Will optional white-glove delivery assemble or install my product?
No. Optional white-glove or in-home placement may help move the product from curbside to a preferred location, depending on availability and the provider. It does not include assembly, construction, plumbing, or electrical work.
Will the trucking company unload the crate for me?
Usually no. The driver generally does not unload, and may not back into a driveway. Larger crates often require customer-arranged unloading.
What if I don’t have a forklift?
Options can include renting equipment, hiring local help with a forklift, arranging trailer pickup at a terminal if offered, or coordinating an alternative offload method.
How does delivery scheduling work?
The carrier contacts you to set an appointment once your shipment reaches the local terminal. Please respond promptly to avoid storage or re-delivery fees.
What if I miss the delivery appointment?
Missed appointments can result in storage and/or re-delivery charges from the carrier.
What should I do if the crate arrives damaged?
- Inspect the crate before signing.
- Take clear photos of any damage.
- Note damage on the delivery receipt before accepting.
- Contact us promptly so we can assist.
What if parts are missing or there’s hidden damage?
Keep packaging and take photos. Notify us as soon as possible so we can guide next steps with the manufacturer.
Can I cancel or change my order after purchasing?
Changes and cancellations depend on production stage and shipping status. Contact us as soon as possible.
Are returns accepted?
Returns are generally limited for drop-shipped freight items. If a return is approved, fees and shipping costs may apply.
What happens if I refuse delivery?
Refusing delivery can result in restocking and return freight charges. If there is a concern at delivery, accept the shipment and document any damage first.
